Autism is a lifelong developmental disorder that affects a person’s understanding of what they see, hear and sense. This results in problems with communication, social skills and behaviour. At Child Aware we offer a number of services to assist you to meet the special needs of your child and family. Our staff are providers under the Helping Children with Autism program and have experience in working with a broad range of presenting issues. Once commenced in Brisbane, Child Aware will provide services under the NDIS.
Assessment for the Diagnosis of Autism
Prior to obtaining an official diagnosis from a Paediatrician, children are required to complete psychometric assessment of their cognitive skills, behaviour and development. At Child Aware we are able to provide this service to families at a low cost, with limited waiting times and prompt report turn around. Child Aware offer cost effective assessment options.
